The Process |
The traditional way of transforming matter is to transmit energy to it through the processes of conduction or convection. |
Radio treatment works differently: the energy is introduced directly into the matter at an ambient temperature. |
It is well known that matter is composed of molecules which are themselves made up of atoms. |
The atom consists of a nucleus, made
up of protons and neutrons, around which revolves a cloud of electrons. The atoms are linked together by an electron. |
The process of radio treatment
consists of bombarding the products to be treated with a beam of accelerated electrons. When these arrive within the matter they smash against its slower moving electrons and separate them violently from their atoms. |
As a result of this shock the latter, in their turn, are
accelerated and smash against other electrons. Atomic bonds are thus completely overturned : its a genuine molecular revolution ! |
This revolution may have
two different results : - either the creation of new molecular bonds the phenomenon of radio-reticulation
- or the rupture of molecular bonds the phenomenon of radio-degradation. |
In the case of living matter, the DNA links are broken the phenomenon of radio-sterilisation. |
